Hi. I’m considering the Pepwave Surf SOHO to use for my Mom’s apartment, where she has access to the community WiFi network and does not have an ISP connection of her own. Right now, she just has everything on the apartment complex’s WiFi directly-- major security risk, IMO.
I understand the Pepwave Surf SOHO supports WAW (WiFi-As-WAN), and could be used to create a private LAN attached to the public WiFi as the internet/Wan connection. My question is, will the Surf SOHO support that, and simultaneously support a local private WiFi that is behind the SOHO’s firewall? Or would I need to connect a separate WiFi access point to one of the ethernet ports on the SOHO to achieve that?
