Wan Quality Reports

I like the graphical representation of the WAN Quality Reports as it can help identify weak cellular areas within a geographical area.
We (as a city), can then use that data to show our cellular providers where it would be beneficial to add a new tower or adding additional sector antennas.
With having almost 30 Peplink devices deployed throughout the city and almost traversing every street we have you can see that this type of data can be quite useful.
3 Questions re: WAN Quality reports

  1. Is it possible to get WAN Quality Reports at a Group level instead of one router at a time and have it displayed on that group map?
  2. If not above. Is it possible to aggregate many WAN Quality Reports into a map like what is already present but to see a graphical representation such as a HEAT Map style?
  3. Would anyone know how to export the data into a heatmap application without using ARC GIS (too expensive)?

Wondering if I can get Peplink to respond to this feature request/ assistance on this topic

anyone have ideas and or suggestions?

Hi,

as far as I know quality reports are per router. So I suppose this answers your first question. As a solution what you could do is to use InControl API to get all the data you want. This is a bit more advanced, but would allow you to make your own custom solution based on the obtained data. You can find more details about InControl API here.

Or you can manually download CSV reports from InControl for each device and then merge then and upload to Google maps for visual representation. This is fine if you want to do it once. Otherwise, InControl + API is a better option.
