VPN setup

I having issues with accessing all my devices over the VPN on the Peplink MAX.

I have PPTP VPN setup and I can access some of the devices behind it but not all. I’m thinking its something with the subnet mask the remote client is getting when connected via the VPN.

So the Max is setup at the DHCP server. Its address is 192.168.1.1 SM 255.255.0.0. DHCP is setup to give out addresses in the 192.168.1.200-250 range with SM of 255.255.0.0.

I have static devices in the 192.168.1.x range and the 192.168.2.x range. I can access everything in the 192.168.1.x range via the VPN, but not the 192.168.2.x range.

Locally, any DHCP client has no problems access either range.

Any ideas? Really not much to the PPTP setup in the remote user access.

Your /16 subnet mask includes the entire 192.168.X.X range so there could be a conflict with the VPN client’s actual IP address. Also make sure there is not an internal firewall rule on the MAX blocking access.

Thanks, that looks like that is the problem.
