VPN issues between two Balance 580s

Hoping you gurus could help me out with a connection/traffic/disconnect issue with a VPN connected by two Balance 580s.

Peplink Balance 580 at two locations A & B running IPSec VPN to connect the two offices.

On a daily basis (literally once a day) Location B loses access to the internet and to server resources at Location A. VOIP however, continues to work both directions and I am able to access server resources at Location B from Location A.

No indication of circuits going down on either side as I am able to access everything in one direction but not the other. Event logs don’t indicate any loss of circuit on either side.

Location A - Able to access server resources in Location B. Able to VOIP with Location B, Able to access internet.

Location B - Unable to access resources in Location A. Able to VOIP with Location A. Unable to access internet.

Then only way to resolve the issue is to reset the Balance 580 at Location B. Once it’s reset, everything goes back to normal until the next day.

All settings are default / vanilla. is it possible that we have a failing Peplink? Any other ideas?

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

Why are you using IPsec? You have PepVPN available. Its a much more reliable VPN, one of the primary reasons you would buy the Peplink product.

If location B cannot access the internet, it sounds like the VPN is not the cause, its something with your internet source. Tell us more about the type of internet connection you have, type of modem, etc.
