VPN accessing VLAN works in certain situations

Hello,

I have been able to connect into my office via L2TP. I connect into the main subnet (192.168.0.X)

When I connect in from my iphone (via Sprint LTE), I can access the IP’s on the VLAN subnet (192.168.1.X)

When I connect in from my iphone via WIFI, I cannot access the IP’s on the VLAN subnet (192.168.1.X)

Any reason that maybe? I’ve tried from a couple different wifi networks with no luck. I am using the integrated VPN connection built into iOS 12.

Thanks.

Hello @river10,
First thing to check is that on the main subnet & also the VLANs required that you have “Inter VLAN Routing” enabled.
Next check for any internal firewall rules between the subnets and VLANs.

Likely your wifi has its own protective firewall which is blocking the VPN connection. I have the same problem a lot with public or hotel wifi.

ok, thanks. yeah, could be a firewall issue on the local end.

@mldownling

i do have intervlan enabled. it works from the same device from mobile 3G but not wifi
