Update Synergized device?

I have an old Transit Duo HW2 as a synergized device attached to my MAX BR1 Pro 5G. Do I need to update the firmware on the Transit Duo to 8.4.0 before updating the MAX BR1 Pro 5G?

I’m able to access the web UI of the Transit Duo by clicking the Gateway link from the IP address showing in the Pro 5G, but web performance is atrocious and the system/firmware screen claims the transit duo firmware is too large to upload.

What’s the procedure for updating in a synergized environment?

Hi!

I believe the lowest version for Synergy devices is 8.30. So depending on your device, it may still be able to update.

With 8.40 the master synergy device will automatically update the synergy, as long as it’s a supported device, already in slave mode and online either by itself of the host.
