ToughDisplay with RoamLink

Does anyone have one of the ToughDisplays yet??

I see that it is a tiny display, and supports setting some settings, maybe?

Does it allow you to change the parameters for MobileMustHave’s RoamLink, like changing or locking it to a particular Cellular Service Provider?

I have ordered one to try. Will let you know. I have a BR2 witb RoamLink. Will be interesting to see all the functions it will display and control

Easton here with MobileMustHave. Thanks for your question! Yes, I can confirm that there is a steering feature on the ToughDisplay, allowing you the ability to steer carriers on RoamLink without actually logging on directly to the Peplink’s admin panel!

The ToughDisplay is still in active development and the dev has already pushed a couple firmwares with some improvements. More to come on that front. As always, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions or suggestions!

Thanks for the reply, Easton.
I understand active development, I was a Firmware/Software Engineer for 40+ years.

Can you tell me if the firmware is stable enough to be usable, without messing anything up?
Is there a forum for the ToughDisplay and/or it’s firmware development?

Paul Maia

We have a forum thread on the Tough Display development over in the member area at the Mobile Internet Resource Center.

The screen has been stable in my usage so far - it only interacts via the Peplink API’s, so I think it should be safe in a production environment.
