Surf SOHO admin pages slow

Hi

Recently purchased Surf SOHO, updated firmware to 7.1.1 build 1342

When first connecting to admin, pages were snappy and easy to navigate around etc. However,
while making initial configuration changes, i.e. admin name and password etc. I got an unknown system error message. Subsequent admin page now load very slow. Could be a minute plus to load status page.

For initial configuration I have desktop PC connected via LAN, no WAN connection. On initial login, I get to dashboard that reports “Unable to reach web admin connecting in 30 sec” can’t remember if this showed when first logged in, could just be because of no WAN. Can’t see anything else wrong, just very very slow page loading.

Tried reloading firmware, factory reset, loading factory configuration etc. But every admin page still very very slow. Don’t want to spend ages configuring anything more if something drastic wrong.

Any ideas?

Powered down everything overnight, on clean startup seems fine. Won’t waste too many brain cells pondering. I had power cycled the router, maybe PC needed same. Either way, now all working fine.
