Speedfusion Configuration

Hello,

We have our main office with the configuration below:

Balance 580:
2 WAN/ISP connections:
WAN 1: Leased Line (Static IP) / bridged
WAN 2: DSL (dynamic IP) with ISP’s own router (on standby)
Lan: 10.0.0.0 /24

Balance 380:
1 ISP Connection
WAN 1: DSL (Dynamic IP) - Same connection as WAN 2 and being used as a fail-over in case 580 goes down
Balance 380 in Drop-in Mode
ISP router w/ DHCP active: 192.168.1.0 /24
Balance 380 IP: 192.168.1.2
DHCP activated and IP starts from: 192.168.1.3

Situation/Questions:

Speedfusion has already been configured but always gets this:

Screenshot from Balance 380 (only WAN 1 is active)

Do I need to change the WAN 2 to bridged mode or is it possible as it is? Or just turn off it’s own DHCP and have assign static IPs on both the 580 and 380?

Do I need to port forward speedfusions’ default data ports?

Is it possible to have this kind of configuration in the same office? Since I am only using the Balance 380 as a hot fail-over might as well take advantage of the speedfusion technology of both devices. Let me know if you need further info so I can provide as much as I can. Thank you.

Do you have network diagram for your setup ? Why you need 2 Balance devices in same office ? and also WAN2 is share between the devices ?

Last but not least, how LAN users connect to Balance devices ?

Hey, sorry I don’t have one ready. As for having 2 Balance devices in same office; we were previously using the Balance 380 and was planning for expansion but had internal issues so it was in a pending state. In any case, I am trying to maximize the use of the devices since we already have those.

As for your question. Yes, WAN 2 is shared between the devices in case of a device failure (which I’m pretty sure it’s rare) but it’s better safe than sorry I guess?

LAN users connect through an AP which is being controlled by the Balance 580. We also have a standby AP ready just in case things go haywire. That way downtime is minimal.

Also; just an update though. Speedfusion connection went through after a couple of tries. It looks like the port forwarding from the WAN 2 (DSL) line was not accepted at first. My main concern now is having some of the traffic forwarded to the bonded connection instead of having all of them being handled by WAN 1 (leased line fiber). For some reason, it does not allow everyone to go through. Others are able to open webpages while others have no access. Connection through the Speedfusion is set using Outbound policies.
