I know… some may think this is useless… but I load balance a couple of connections and getting a speed test can SAY it’s from one, but it’s from the other.
It would be awesome to have a simple speed test button right by the connect / disconnect.
Not to take away from your suggestion, but one may note that Peplink has an excellent built-in WAN test utility. Here’s where to find it on a Balance 20X: to direct y to direct your test traffic appropriately. After doing so, there will be s to which WAN is being tested.
When we really want to test a WAN this is what we most often use. We set the target to be another Peplink router with a really high bandwidth connection or a FusionHub running in “the cloud.”
If you really want to use one of the common speed tests and want to ensure you are testing the WAN you think you are all you have to do is configure an Outbound Policy to direct your test traffic appropriately. After doing so, there will be no doubt as to which WAN is being tested.
