Separating downloads and regular web browsing

Dear Guys ,

we have seen so many requests from clients to separate file downloads and regular web browsing on balance series.

customer need to route download to an unlimited data allowance WAN link and use other WAN links for regular web browsing.

I know this is not possible technically because both use http port 80. but,

I think if you design a special peplink utility ( kind of downloader ) to download files using a specific source port , then its possible to create outbound policy to route download traffic.

any idea ?

This is an interesting idea. We realize some customers have mentioned similar requests.

From our point of view, we need a mechanism that is transparent and requires no change in user behavior. We have some progress on the design and will share with the community at a later time.
