SDX Pro - SimInjector flex module

Hi Peplink “Hivemind”!

I have a SDX Pro with SimInjector flex module installed and are having issues with connecting to the flex module from other devices. All the manuals I can find only describe the use of “SimInjector” or “SimInjector mini”, so I am starting to wonder if someone just forgot to write the manual? Does anyone else know where to find it?

A more spesific question I have is regarding the Remote Sim configuration on the cellular connection; when using the flex-module, is it the serial number of the SimInjector flex-module it self, or the serial number of the SDX Pro that is supposed to be used?

And one final observation is that the Remote Sim server setup on the remote device (Transit Pro) only includes 8 slots and not 56 slots that are avaliable in the SimInjector flex-module…

Still no manual to be found, but after a bit of testing I found a solution to my own questions:

  • When configuring the router that is using the remote SIM, the server address is the public IP that the SDX uses, and the serial number is for the SimInjector module itself.
  • Firmware 8.3 for Transit Pro supports up to 56 sim slots, so I assume this will apply for other devices as well.
