I want to open inbound RDP 3389 trafic but limit it to just being able to be accessed from my static IP address.
I want to allow in bound RDP traffic but to only be accessible from one specific internet IP address.
I can open the port to the entire internet but cannot figure out how to restrict it.
I setup a network > Access Rules > Inbound firewall rule but it does not seem to limit my access.
The “Source” has a pull down and it can be changed from any address to a single IP address.
I tried that, put in my IP and yet other internet ip can still access.
Is there a written tutorial with screen shots because I must be missing something
Do you have the default inbound firewall rule set to deny?
Just changed it to deny and now the other rules for web servers stopped working
Here is my firewall rule and it allows any IP on the internet to access
