In that scenario, would the built-in client based openVPN not work for you?
Iām +1 for wireguard, not big on support for proprietary vpn clients. I like my vpn provider, i could benefit from the ability to have more than ONE ovpn connection.
Completely echo this - I have a need with the client where using Tailscale straight on the Peplink device would be far more superior than having to deploy another box onsite adding to complexity and costs, plus another thing to fail.
@jgsieve The latest 8.5.2 firmware released about a week ago supports multiple OpenVPN WAN licenses.
If I need few openVPN wan license I just need buy 1 by 1?
Hi⦠check the serial number of your device at using url
https://estore.peplink.com/
For the maxbr1minihw3. I buy this:
OpenVPN WAN License (LIC-3OPN-WAN)
Check the maximum capability of your device, look at this url.
sample:
maxbr1hw3
Maximum PPTP / L2TP / OpenVPN Users = 3
Number of OpenVPN Tunnel (Site to Site) = 5
Feel like this is off topic with OpenVPN, and although nice to see progress there this isnt the point of this post in Feature Requests
Discussion is about the āRequestā of tailscale VPN to be built-inā¦
You should be able to get tailscale to run in a docker container on peplink, Iāve managed to get netbird running that way. Obviously the peplink needs to be able to support docker and likely needs storage adding for it but it worked well in testing.
That reminds me, 8.5.2 is GA and I havenāt seen the docker license for the B One, anyone know what the SKU is?
