“Remote Web Admin” feature in InControl app suddenly broken after latest iOS update + InControl app update 1.1.2

“Remote Web Admin” feature in InControl app suddenly broken after installing latest iOS update 12.2 and updating InControl app version 1.1.2

NOTE:
I do not have this problem on my iPad, which has iOS 12.2 and the previous InControl app version 1.1 1
so apparently it looks like the problem is with the app’s latest update (1.1.2)

I use that feature on my iPhone 8 pretty often to connect to and it has always established the connection pretty quickly.
For the last 2-3 days, no connection is made after tapping on that feature.

“Remote Web Admin” works on my computer when I log into InControl2’s website in a browser.

All apps on phone are updated regularly.

Other features in InControl iOS app seem to be working normally.

Phone: iPhone 8

iOS version update: 12.2

iOS InControl app version: 1.1.2

Router: Pepwave Surf SOHO MK3 HW1.0

Router firmware: 7.1.2 build 1387

I am currently experiencing this on the iOS InControl app v.1.1.3 build 67.
I believe since InControl was updated on the web to the new remote web admin interface, my iOS app no longer will let me remote into my routers.
Can someone please confirm and is there a fix on the way?

Thank you.

Thanks for your report. The RWA should be working again now.

We will update the InControl app to make use of the new RWA system.

Remote Web Admin feature in InControl app v1.1.3 on iPadOS 13.7 works normally but there’s a new error message displayed:

Unsupported or outdated browser detected.
Suggested browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

If this helps: I recently both updated to iPadOS 13.7 from 13.6 , and also applied Surf Soho Mk3 firmware update 8.1.0 build 4941

Thanks!

Also I’ve experienced this apparent bug while using Remote Web Admin feature in iPadOS InControl app:

The “Discard changes” link has no effect.
I’ve noticed this in previous InControl app versions as well but never got around to reporting it.

This will be fixed in the coming firmware release.

This is a bug and we have filed. Thanks for reporting this.
