Recover password without resetting it

I have the config of a pepwave but it wont let me log in. I want to know is there a way to recover the password from the password file

Which model is it? Do you have an incontrol 2 account?

its a Pepwave MAX HD2 LTE. I know I can connect to from my IC2 account but was wondering if there is a way to retrieve the password from the saved config…

Not officially no. Config file contents are obscured intentionally. Easiest fix is just to reset the device password via IC2.

Hello @ofarrellp,
If you are an administrator within InControl2 of the device in question, you can from InControl2 recover the last know Admin password without resting by doing this:

  • Within InControl2 navigate to the device level

  • Click on the blue “Show All”

    image

  • Click on the “********” on the line of “Admin User / Password”

    image

You devices last know Admin password will now be visible for you.
