I am considering the Puck 12 on the Transit for my fibreglass sailing yacht. It will be mounted on the deck primarily to provide wlan on and below deck, and on the rare occasion that there is decent marina WiFi, to also connect wireless wan. Has anybody tried this antenna via the two WiFi ports on the transit and what are the results?
Pucks aren’t usually a good choice on a boat. Why not use marine omni directional antennas?
If you are talking about 5.8 Ghz port wifi services I would not be using the pepwave wan wifi unless the antenna is very very short cable length. I would be more inclined to use something like a ubiquiti M5 and connect it to the wan on the pep
