Possible bug in port forwarding

We are having repeated issues where port forwarding stops working.
Pepwave MAX-BR1 units with WAN primary, cellular standby
Port forwarding set up for several ports such as 80, 9443 etc pointing to a server on the LAN
We get a report that the eb ordering is not working.
We push cellular to active - instantly port forwarding begins working.
Push cellular back to standby - it continues to work.
Seems like just making any change to the wan triggers it to begin working again

You have dynamic DNS settings defined for the WANs ? If yes, do you check whether the DNS resolve working fine ?

yes, the wan is up and shows as up. but the port forwarding fails

I suspect this is related to the DDNS. Are you using the same hostname for both WAN and Cellular?

DDNS is disabled.
