I have seen a couple msgs on this topic, but none seems an exact match to my sad story.
I have a Pepwave Max Adapter Cat 6 (LGE, Product code: MAX-ADP-LTEA-W-T). It works perfectly fine with my desktop and a physical sim card (Google Fi). However when I connect it with Balance One Core (Firmware: 8.2.1 build 5372) it is stuck on connecting (see pic below).
Some people said that health check might create issues, so I turned it off. I tried to set the APN both to AUTO and manually to the recommended APN for Google fi with no results. See below the setting for the “Mobile Internet” connection. As a sanity check I checked the router with the same sim and a very old modem (a ZTE MF683). It works, slowly & manual APN required, but it works. Bottom line, any solution?
Thanks TK. This helped but did not solve the problem. With the beta hardware the router recognizes the modem and the sim and connects to the service. Ping from the router works fine, but ping from a client PC does not. (I tested with a minimal firewall that allows all outbound, block all inbound, no wan specific rule.) So the connection is still not usable. The two other connections I have work fine and with the usual speed.
What should I do next? For reference, just in case I missed something below are some screenshots.
