PepVPN from AP One

Hi,we are setting up a PoC for a quite big customer.
Customer has many branches spread throughout the country. The requirement of the project is to set up wireless access in the branches, providing 2 SSID:

  • Guest Access, Open access with Captive Portal
  • Private Access, WPA2-Enterprise

Corporate users should be able to see branch office network connecting to the Private SSID.

Guest should use the Guest SSID, and all the Guest traffic should be tunneled using PepVPN to some FusionHub appliances that will be installed in the Datacenter DMZ. From there the traffic will be filtered by the firewalls and routed to Internet.

Cisco guys told that they can do it with Flexconnect local switching for the Private SSID, and an Anchor controller in DMZ for the Guest.

How can we achieve this goal with Peplink?
We are in PoC phase, we put an AP One in lab and set up the PepVPN to a Fusionhub in DMZ.
We are now trying, without success, to make the Guest traffic reach the FusionHub. It continue to be routed to branch LAN.

Thanks

Do you have more info for the project ?

  1. Expected each remote site need to deploy how many APs ?
  2. Internet connection type for the remote site ?
  3. Do the Internet connection for the remote site is managing by your team ?
  4. Any specific reason why AP is chosen for the project ? Do you consider MAX model with PepVPN / WIFI AP feature ?
