Peplink vs. Router Utility iOS Apps

What are the plans for these two apps? Will they coexist or eventually become one useful app?

That’s a really good question. We use Router Utility heavily and have long been concerned it will be abandoned.

I second, worried Peplink wants to get away from local control and push everyone toward the cloud.
Various features missing in local UI only accessible through Incontrol like Starlink stowing.

Yes, agreed. And this issue is compounded by the fact that some patches (not FW releases) can only be obtained via activating IC2. This trend is worrisome.

Yes its annoying the cellular firmware update is hidden in support.cgi while exposed in incontrol

I can understand placing certain tools and parameters “out of normal reach” (indeed, probably a good idea), but we are very concern wed about important capabilities such as the ability to apply patches and licenses that are “IC2-only.” This devalues the product and may tempt owners to take ill-advised risks.
