We have someone that wants constant internet throughout their business but wants to connect to routers where ever they are instead of APs. We don’t have a setup yet for this but does anyone know if this is do able? I know peplink has mesh capabilities but with APs. Is it possible to just set all the routers as the same SSID and password and do roaming that way from router to router. If it does work than is there a better way to do it because then while you are moving you want always be assured you are using the best possible internet connection.
Hi, we have solved this by connecting multiple Routers through Cellular Connections with different Providers, with a layer 2 connection to a hub our Datacenter. It works fine.
You can give the Routers the same SSID and Password.

It’s a bad idea. Why do they want this? Is there a lack of cabling between the areas perhaps?
Much better approach is a central balance router with access points connected to its LAN and then multiple remote cellular connections provided by standalone routers cabled back to the WAN of the balance. Like a connectivity spider.
That way the balance can use all the available cellular connections at the same intelligently and with Synergy enabled it looks like those remote 5g modems are directly connected.
That is the way.
