I’m not very tech-smart, but I think the MAX BR2 Pro might be the product I am looking for to manage internet access on my boat. Please help me with a few questions …

  1. Is the MAX BR2 Pro the only device the offers 2 SIM card slots … so, for example, I can monitor ATT and Verizon signals?

  2. Can I save WiFi SSID’s and Passwords for various WiFi Networks so the MAX BR2 Pro can monitor multiple WiFi signals?

If the above answers are “yes” …

  1. Can the MAX BR2 Pro be programmed to automatically connect to and switch between internet sources to use the “fastest” available WiFi or Cellular?

  2. Is the MAX BR2 Pro an Access Point to provide a private WiFi signal?

  3. Do you offer a Dome antenna that receives both Cellular and WiFi signals?

If you want to have two simultaneously active cellular connections then there are other options as well - but you do need a unit with two cellular modems.

Besides the MAX BR2 there is the Balance 20X (with an additional cellular flex module), the HD2 family of routers, and the Transit Duo routers.

I am not sure what the question is, on this one. Are you referring to using somebody else’s Wi-Fi as a WAN for your router, or about your router offering multiple Wi-Fi SSIDs? If the latter, then yes. If the former, then wiser heads than mine need respond (I am not employing that functionality).

There are ways to achieve something akin to that functionality. E.g., with outbound policies you can determine where to send a particular connection based on latency or response time.

By “private” you refer to an SSID not being announced (“hidden”)? Then - yes.

            Let me try to say that better.  Can I store several WAN SSID's/Passwords so as I travel from 
           one to another the connection will automatically change to the best WAN signal?

I’d strongly recommend you contact a Peplink partner (I am not one) to work with you to identify the best devices to address your needs.

You can store more then one Wi-Fi connection. Since I do not use that functionality I cannot speak to the degree of automation.
