Hello, I have a Peplink MAX Transit Duo Pro that’s about a year old and was working fine. Was… This morning it just stopped working. The lights come on but it’s completely non-responsive. I tried pushing the reset button, but it doesn’t even seem to reset.
Status light is red… not blinking.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
-Mike-
No secret “load last good image” button? I suspect I won’t hear from Peplink till Monday at the earliest.
Update: Actually I did hear from them today. They requested a video of what it’s doing.
That’s uncommon. Peplinks are quite reliable but you are “seeing what you are seeing.” I’d start with a procedure like this and stop when you are greeted with success.
- Ensure your power voltage is within the range specified by Peplink. If you have an extra power supply handy (with the same specs, A and V) try it, or meter your supply.
- Do a factory reset. Hold the reset button/switch down for a good slow 20 count.
If step 2 is successful, just reload your saved config file and you’ll be back in business.
If neither step brings success you’ll want to check and see if your unit is covered under warranty/PrimeCare. If yes, then I’d suggest contacting the Peplink Partner from whom you acquired the unit. If you bought it from an an anonymous reseller and can’t easily contact them, if you want to PM me your SN I’ll check for you and let you know its status.
If you are still unsuccessful warranty/PrimeCare is active I’d submit a [ticket] (https://ticket.peplink.com) to Peplink.

Thanks! Yeah, it should be under warranty still. I’ve opened a ticket, we’ll see what happens. I’ve tried both things you mentioned a couple times. It’s acts like it’s not booting, for whatever reason. No burnt smell or anything obvious.
And… the only thing worse than waiting a month for a replacement router? When you get the replacement and it it’s also broken. Just in a different way.
