Peplink Max 5G - IP Spoofing

Can the Peplink Max 5G spoof the IP addresses of the other 3 modems while uploading data to a streaming server (e.g. youtube)

Can you ask that question in a different way please? I’m not sure I understand what you are trying to acheive.

Therefore as far as the destination service is aware, all the data came from the same IP address. The peplink would also have to round robin the packets out so that they would go over each interface in turn.

Ok I see what you’re asking but why do want it? What is the benefit / use case?

In this example all four modems would need to be on the same operator network for spoofing to work, so its not session reliability you’re after I suppose.

IP spoofing is not currently supported on any Peplink interface.

You can however clone MAC addresses on wired / wifi interfaces (but not cellular), but that’s different of course.

I want to upload data over the four modems and have the source addresses be the same so that the streaming server believes they come from the same source IP.

Therefore if each modem’s like is 30mbps up and 20mbps down, then spoofed, they should produce approx 30mbps down and 80mbps up.

Live streaming events requires more upload speed than download.

Ah I understand. That is what Peplink’s SpeedFusion Bonding Does. https://www.peplink.com/technology/speedfusion-bonding-technology/

You’re not going to be able to achieve what you want with IP spoofing. There is too much management of the underlying application streams that needs to be done.

Even Chat GPT agrees with you. Sigh.

Ha! Not all is lost though. You can aggregate bandwidth using SpeedFusion VPN like you want to, but it is never simply a question of adding up the total bandwidth because bandwidth over cellular changes constantly.

The whole point of Peplink routers is to manage multiple WAN links as intelligently as possible for reliability and bandwidth - which makes it perfect for live video streams…
