Peplink "Email Notifcation" - Requesting additional options/features

SMTP “Peplink Email Notifcation” ISSUES - I have several hours into this. Gmail stopped SMTP support. My ISP is blocking two others. SMTP is not a ‘sure thing’ any more.

REQUEST #1 - Have a note in the “Email Notification” section for users to try to ping the smtp server first. And also a note that Google is no longer allowing SMTP and a link to the Gmail changes page.

REQUEST #2 - Could Peplink could consider to host SMTP for email notifications itself?

REQUEST #3 AND/OR offer TXT messaging options as Peplink has contracts with the cellular providers.

I have the B ONE 5G - it is great - except that I cannot get notifications! I have spent more time on SMTP than the entire setup and installation in my closet.

(I have been doing tech since the mid-1980’s. And SMTP since the 1990’s. This is not my first rodeo.) Look forward to some solutions. THANKS!

We have other clients that either use the https post url notification in ic2, ic2 notifications , or a vpn tunnel back to a private smtp to send mail. Are these options for you?

Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your reply. This implementation is just for my home. I am located in Southwest Florida. Want to keep things going during storms.
IC2 would be okay. I do not have a private smtp at the moment.
Of course for a home install - I would like to keep this simple.
Simplest would be SMTP. Second simplest would be Peplink allowing you to TXT these messages. Your thoughts?

PM me your s/n and let me get you some options.

Hi Jonathan, Did you receive my private message to you? -Nick2

Received, and replying now , it’s been a long day
