Peplink Balance One speed stays at 300 Mbps on a 1 Gb cable connection

I recently increased my cox cable connection speed from 300 Mbps to 1 Gp. I thought that this change would increase my internet speed to 600 Mbps using the Balance One. When I connected a laptop directly to the router, the speed was about 300 Mbps. When I connected the laptop directly to the modem, the speed was 900 Mbps. From my understanding, the Balance One Limit is 600 Mbps. Am I missing a step that I need to perform to obtain a 600 Mbps internet connection speed? Thanks for your help.

Please try 8.1.1RC firmware to confirm it helps. We encountered a bug in the old firmware and it was fixed in 8.1.1.
