Since we have bought our beloved Balance One, in two years time, there have been no security updates released for the device.
Is Peplink software/firmware so strong and rocksolid, or did I miss something?
6.3.3 here, however did not upgrade as there was no particluar reason to do so, as for the release notes.
Should I ?
it depends a lot on how you’re using the balance, if the features that have been added in recent versions can be useful. Consider that opening a ticket one of the first steps that you will be done will be that of updating the firmware.

I would recommend upgrading to 7.1.2 which is the last firmware in the 7 family which has a lot of security fixes.
Your rule sets will transfer nicely to the new firmware. Have a config backup just in case though.
