New Modem - Verizon - can't get it to work

I purchased a PEPWave Max BR1 Mini. I have been trying for a week now to get it to work. I don’t automatically assume that something brand new is broke but I am suspecting this as a defective unit unless I just don’t know what I am doing.

I was on the phone 2 diferrent days with 2 different support folks whom is totall convinced tht there is nothing wrong with the way the account is set up or the SIM. However I did try a second SIM out of my iPhone that didn’t work either.

The modem sees the SIM and constantly says it’s obtaining IP address. It did once and then immediately starting searching again. I have 4 bars. I first thought I didn’t have a good signal.

I have a couple of screen shots I can share but I don’t know where to go from here short of returning the unit.

Can anyone tell me if they have had similar issues or what they might do in my situation. I was excited when I found this product and really want it to work and I don’t want to send it back but I don’t know where to go from here.
