Need help with Surf-on-th-go and Verizon U620L

I can connect to the router through the WLAN and the broadband modem shows that it’s connected to the Verizon network but I can’t connect to the Internet through the SOTG router. The ENET indicator is dark and the signal level bars keep cycling. Except for changing the WLAN channel to 11, the router is at default. On the web dashboard, the bars flash continuously and it says “Authenticating” but never gets beyond that step. The modem works OK when directly connected to a desktop or laptop.

How do I troubleshoot this problem?

Can you arrange to upgrade the SOTG using the the firmware below and see whether this will help to resolve the issue.
