Hi, since subscribing to a gigabit fiber service I want to upgrade from a Pepwave Surf SOHO to get the 900 mbps max throughput of the Balance 20X (even though I won’t be using a vast majority of its capabilities for now, if ever).
I’ve saved my Surf SOHO configuration. When I install the Balance 20X, can I just import the Surf SOHO configuration, presuming that it’s just a subset of the settings available in the Balance 20X? I’m hoping that I don’t have to manually reconfigure the Balance 20X.
Only possible at all if B20x and soho are on similar firmware versions, which is unlikely.
And even if it will allow it, not really a great idea as they are SO dissimilar. from one wan to two+. Many additional features.
A few things may import well, such as DHCP reservations and firewall rules.
Honestly, I would just bring them up side by side and run through and duplicate. Unless you have a crazy number of entries it should only take about ten minutes.

I also noticed another thread about an upcoming residential model replacing the Surf SOHO; with Wi-Fi 6, I would buy that immediately.
