MAX Transit DUO - inner workings of WiFi

Hi,

How is the functionality implemented for the Transit (as well as other models) to act both as Wi-Fi client an AP simultaneously? Are there two sets of Wi-Fi modules?
I have noticed that the MAC address differs for the Wi-Fi klient and the built-in AP, could this be enough information that there are two separate modules?

The question relates to if the router can use different channels in the 2.4GHz frequency band at the same time. For example channel 1 for the built-in AP, and channel 13 for the Wi-Fi WAN connection. This would probably not be possible with only one Wi-Fi module I suppose.

Best Regards
/Harald

MAX Transit supports dual WIFI radios which is 2.4GHz and 5GHz simultaneously.

WIFI WAN and WIFI AP are sharing the same radio. So, when WIFI WAN is connected to 2.4GHz channel 1, WIFI AP will use 2.4GHz channel 1 too. This is same to the 5GHz radio.
