I want to clear up the issue on what SIM cards in what slots.
I understand that slot 1 is for GSM (AT&T) and slot 2 is for CDMA (Verizon). Is that hard and fast or is that preferred? In other words is it possible GSM SIM will work and 1 & 2?
What is the actual Product Code on the silver label of the device?
Not sure.
It’s MAX-HD2-869E / MAX HD2 LTE VA
That SKU is a few years old now and one modem is dedicated for Verizon while the other is dedicated to AT&T/GSM. This is a modem hardware limitation so they cannot be updated/upgraded. Thanks
Do the current versions have the same limitations or can I run two CDMA SIMs at the same time?
On the current version both modems are compatible with all 4 carriers. Thanks
Great, one last question.
Is there a specific part or model number for the T-Mobile SIM?
Hi PacNW, the size SIM card these will take is still the Mini(2ff).
If one managed to break the SIM slots on the Max-HD2-LTE-US-T, would it be possible to order the replacement part(s) from Peplink?
We own two of these Pepwave Max routers (one purchased from eBay, one from 3Gstore.com) and aren’t confident they are covered under warranty.
