MAX-BR1-MK2 vs. MAX BR1 MINI CAT-7 LTEA

Hello,

I have two pepwave routers:

First is a MAX-BR1-MK2-LTEA-W-T (September '21) that is installed in my RV. It is used on the road with a cellular data SIM installed.

Second is a recently purchased MAX BR1 MINI CAT-7 LTEA. This is to be installed in an off grid shipping container to provide internet connectivity for a solar system and a security system. This will also be via a cellular data SIM. Once set up, it will be unlikely to change.

My question is; The RV system works well, but is the more important system. When we travel I frequently interact with the system to switch from data SIM to cellular hotspot to WiFi, depending on availability, data plan caps, etc. Starlink is likely in the cards for next year.
Is it worth the trouble to pull the BR1-MK2 out of the RV and replace it with the new MINI and use the BR1-MK2 for the stationary application? I think I read that the newer firmware is designed for Starllink. It appears that the BR1-MK2 may not be eligible for new firmware.

Thanks.
