MAX Adaptor 5G keeps resetting _ SOHO MK3 running 8.3.0

Hey looking for any suggestions on this-- I have a T-mobile SIM in slot A- and the MAX adaptor set to Auto- jThe adaptor keeps resetting and then appears to try to connect, then shows “Unknown Physical Status” on the WAN connection Status (home page) ( I tried selecting T-mobile and entering fast.t-mobile.com APN-but get the same result)

any ideas?

According to the peplink page, the SOHO MK3 doesn’t support the MAX Adapter 5g. Only the LTE adapter.
Why? I don’t know.

From the official guide:

Excellent Point-Thank you! BUT! I did load up a Balance One with 8.4.0 and am still getting a constant reset, I verified the SIM Is working in another modem i had. IT seems to connect for a few seconds, gets an iP address from the carrier, fails the WAN Connection and then resets again. Rinse, repeat…any ideas?
was trying to find a way to default/upgrade the firmware on the adaptor as well, didn’t see where that can be done

Does the other modem connect on the same band that the max adapter supports?
Same location, coverage, antennas pointed up?

Yes, the other modem is a CAT6 (not a MAX / Peplink but another brand), in same location, antennas same location, the MAX should cover all of the same bands as the CAT6 plus some, i would safely assume?.

Are you able to login to the router, then change the index.cgi to support.cgi and scroll down and look for cellular firmware and see if there is an update for the max adapter firmware?

FWIW, we have the exact same issue with a 5G MAX Adapter (with current firmware) and T-Mobile. The issue was resolved (“sorta”) by locking the Adapter to LTE.

Dang it. I was just trying the 5G adaptor with the MK3 and wondering why it shows up but won’t connect. Even with it set to LTE only, it won’t connect. Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy.
