Hello @Eben_Thompson
Here are a few post to previous threads that have covered this
Hello @Hootan_Rastkar ,
We look at the shipped antennas as being there primarily for initial testing of the router and normally replace them with purpose antennas that are fitted to the clients installation as necessary.
In Australia we’d source most of our antennas from Telco Antennas in Queensland. A suitable antennas that has everything built in for the MAX range (based on just one LTE modem) is the MA450.K.LBICG.003

Hello Tom, @bws438
As Kevin meniton @Kv_Chen you post is a bit vague, though I’ll give you some considered thoughts:
If the ATM Enclosure is all metal, it will shield the RF Signal if you are using a Pepwave MAX, you will need to mount an external heavy duty antenna frequency suitable to the the device, consider antennas like the model found here at one of our partners (you may need to mind your own local supplier) SKU: MA750.B.ABICG.003, Taoglas Pantheon MA750 3G+4G+4GX & GPS & WiFi MIMO 5-i…
I just overhauled my BR1 installation, and am in love with the results. Here are a few details on what I did.
Old Setup - BR1 was in my trunk with 2 x Wilson Magnetic whip antennas mounted on the roof. These had 10’ cord which I ran down into the trunk. The antennas were ugly, but the cords were actually concealed quite nicely. The antennas were spaced at 1/2 wavelength for LTE band 13 (~20cm). I had two major complaints with this setup: 1) I generally got better service on my iPhone when in ma…
@cyclops : If it helps any, we typically see about 150-200ft of range with the internal antennas. We have a pair of Taoglas antennas that operate on 2.4GHz or 5GHz and have a gain of about 3.8-5.5db. When attaching those external antennas we’ve seen as much as 50% more range.
In Australia, the best place we recomend to buy Taoglas veichle mounted antennas is Telco Antennas
Naturally if you are outside of Australia, look up your local Peplink supplier via the Peplink website and ask them or if they are unable to help, then go directly to the Taoglas website to find your local supplier.
Happy to Help,
Marcus
