Would be really nice to be able to disable the LED on the HD MAX external units.
When used externally, the LED is bright and attracts attention.
Would it be possible for you to share more info for your use case ?
- What is the actual models that you are using ?
- How the device being mounted ? Possible to share the installation photo ?
- You need all LEDs indicator being disabled ? Any concerns for preventive maintenance if user can not physically check the device running status ?
The above info will able to help Engineering team to understand the requirements and consider the feasibility for the feature.
- Using the MAX-HD2-DOM-M- LTE router.
- It is currently mounted using the provided mounting bracket See Page 21 on the pepwave-max-user-manual. I will check on the ability to share a photo.
- There is only one LED on this unit. Preventative maintenance is not a huge concern as we will be using a network management application to monitor the unit. I would expect that at worst case, a factory reset would set the LED state back to on.
