I have a Balance 310 with 2 WAN connections, they are set to Priority 2 and 3. when WAN 1 is connected WAN 2 goes into cold standby. As a result it can take 20 seconds to reconnect having first to aquire an IP address. Is there a way of setting WAN 2 to be in hot standby connected mode with a DHCP address allocated so that the change over is seamless like a MAX HD2
Iād leave all the WAN in Priority 1 and control traffic with Outbound Policy. That way the connection remains hot and should help chop down failover time.
