How to choose the appropriate Balance model

Hi Team,

I have a use case with the following conditions:
800 wifi users distributed in 3 rooms (the number is estimated at pic time)
the data rate of each user should be at least 1Mbps

what we propose as a solution is using 7 AP AC MINI as each AP can support 120users (60per radio).
here we have a problem regarding the choice of the balance model to be used :

  • if we take into consideration the total number of supported AP → we recommend Balance One (Max supported AP =10).
  • however if we take into consideration the router throughput, the minimum throughput is 800*1=800Mbps → the appropriate balance is Balance 305.
    i need your support what is the criteria to be taken into consideration in order to choose the most the most optimized balance Model in terms of cost.

Hi hentati, to identify the correct peplink you need to know, how many users at the same time you can have, and what is the troughput you need .

For exemple if you have 800 concurrent user you need to buy a Balance 580 .

I suggest you add more than 7 access points, because 120 users is the maximum you could have bottleneck problems.

Thanks for your prompt feedback, in fact the 800 concurrent users is the estimated number at peak time, the average will be arround 400/500 for that reason we will choose 7 AP Mini and BL 305.
