How does the BR1 redundant SIM function work?

Hi

Quick question - just wondered what the behavior was of the BR1 with 2 seperate provider SIMs installed and both ports enabled - does it switch between the two SIMs on loss of connection of one or does this have to be done manually?

Upon complete loss of signal/connectivity on the 1st SIM it will attempt to connect using the 2nd SIM.

Hi Tim,

Is it possible to change the network type for the SIM B? For example, having an option to set one connection as HSPA and the failover as EV-DO.

If the service is EV-DO only, then generally SIM cards are not used for authentication and the MEID is used instead. Currently, there is no way to fail-over from HSPA to EV-DO automatically and this would require a manual change.
