I finally figured out how to make it work with my Netgear GC110P Switch. Everything was configured correctly on my Balance 20 and was “almost” correct on the switch. After contacting Netgear support, they recommended the following:

  1. Assign the VLAN id (52 in my case) to the ports connected to Access Points and the Balance 20.
  2. Set all those ports to “Trunk” mode
  3. On the final step of VLAN config, set the IP configuration to “DHCP”

It was Step 3 that I was missing. Once that was set, everything works correctly.
