High Availability (HA) - same model but different HW and FW version

Hi All,

Is the HA setup possible for two same model BPL-1350 and HW 2, but different firmware version? The reason, is that, one of the unit doesn’t renewal. So, it not able to update firmware to date.

Hi. If they are the same model and HW version there should be no reason why both cannot run the same FW version. There are no charges from Peplink to upgrade the FW to the highest level supported by a given HW version so there’s no reason why both cannot run the same FW version – and that’s what is generally recommended.

As you can see here – https://www.peplink.com/support/downloads/ – 8.0.0 is presently current and a B1350 HW2 supports it.
