Hey! Peplink balance 1

I just got a peplink one balance and can some one explain how it works beacuse I connected it to my modem and I don’t know what’s happening,

Hi @Orbit_Gaming

First of all congratulations on your purchase. However, there are so many different ways you can configure the Peplink devices that it is really difficult to answer your query properly. There is a quite extensive manual available > Here <

Alternatively, there are answers to specific questions relating to configuration setups on this forum.

As a start though, if your modem is dishing out DHCP addresses, then I would connect the Modem to WAN1, by default this is set to receive a DHCP address. Connect a PC to the LAN side and browse to 192.168.50.1 You should be good to start using it.

Good luck

Thanks! Should the WiFi light be blinking green?

And I connect using lan port one to pc and typed the address but I’m getting the site cannot be reached

Hi @Orbit_Gaming,

Usually the WiFi light is blinking Green, yes, if there is traffic flowing over the WiFi. If it is slowing blinking green, or static green then there is no traffic, but WiFi in enabled. If the WiFi light is off, then WiFi is OFF.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Sorry for the amount of questions :joy: but when I plug it in the pc it says not getting internet on pc

No worries. The forum is a good place to check for answers. No question is a stupid question, so feel free to ask.

Sorry, I missed the LAN question:

Can you check that your PC is configure to receive a DHCP address, can you ping 192.168.50.1?
Did you purchase the router 2nd hand or new? If 2nd hand, it is possible the IP address (and the login details) are different. Therefore, I would recommend a factory reset -

Hold the button in for 20 seconds to reset the device.

Hope this helps,

Yes this is a second hand, there is no button there it is labeled reset but no butten

Ah, you might need a paper-clip or something small, the button is just inside the hole.
