Help in choosing the right product

Hi, i having problem to find the right product accoring to the following requirements:

  1. Route between sites
  2. If wired link falls than all traffic shall be routed through wireless link or vice versa
  3. Shall support fail over of one of the links and send the traffic from other link
  4. Shall support routing priority, voice will be send from wireless while video will be sent from wired. How many policies can we have, how do we define the source? By TOS (QoS)? By source IP? Etc.
  5. Can we define a constant bit rate for an application?
  6. Can Region1 route session from remote 1-1 to Central site and provide priority routing?
  7. The equipment shall be industrial supporting 50 degrees!

Hi David.
Since you’re new to Peplink devices and technologies if might be worth getting together with a local partner to help you with this solution design. Where are you based geographically?

Product choice at the central location is normally driven by the number of remote devices you need to support and the likely amount of PepVPN bandwidth required.

Product choice at the remote locations is normally based on the number of WANs and the type of WAN required (Wired, wireless, cellular) the desired throughput, and the form factor.

In answer to your questions above:

  1. Sure no problem using PepVPN / SpeedFusion
  2. Again no problem (look at MAX BR1)
  3. Which type of links? If from wired to wireless look at BR1
  4. Outbound policies are configured by source or destination IP/Network, source MAC, or destination domain.
  5. Depends on topology.
  6. Yes
  7. MAX BR1, TRANSIT, HD2 HD4 all support industrial temperatures.
