In an HA pair, it would be nice to have a button for forcing an HA transition, preferably at the bottom of the local dashboard, where current HA state is shown.
This would be a “softer” way of validating the setup than to perform a reboot, or disabling all WAN interfaces of the HA master.

Nice idea. I might also point out that if one were to simply disconnect the master’s LAN connection that would break VRRP comms and trigger the fail-over. Or, one could disable the port of the switch to which the master is connected (that’s the way I usually do it.)
