Guest Network for LAN

Hi guys,

I’ve got a Peplink Balance One, and have four PC’s plugged into lan ports 1,2,3,4. I want each PC to be able to connect out to the Internet, but not see each other on the network (from a security perspective, I need them to be totally isolated). What would be be best way to set this up?

Hi,

There is no way to isolate clients with wired connection. The best way is getting the clients connect wirelessly and turn on Layer 2 isolation.

You could setup VLAN’s to isolate each of the PC’s but you will need to add a switch that is capable of 802.1Q VLAN tagging. We currently do not support port-based VLAN’s on the Balance itself, but this has been a heavily requested feature that we are looking into.
