Firmware Upgrade on Balance 305 HW2 out of warranty

I have a Balance 305 hardware revision HW2. It is currently running firmware 6.2.0. I see HW2 is listed as compatibly with 8.1.2 but I just need clarification on a few points…

  1. Can I upgrade directly from 6.2.0 to 8.1.2 or should I be upgrading via an interm firmware version
  2. Can i perform the upgrade despite the fact the device is no longer under warranty

  1. Yes, no problem. The B305 is not one of the products that requires an intermediate step in upgrading.
  2. Yes, again, no problem.
