Could the monitoring for switches in Ic2 be enhanced, particularly with regards to traffic monitoring.
This feature should look something similar to the reports we can get for WAN connections on a Balance:
- Monitor per-port as well as logical interfaces (vlan interfaces and LAGGs).
- Realtime graph would be nice but not essential.
- 1 Minute resolution graph however is essential, longer averaging / periods helpful.
- Stats and graphs should be available for throughput and not just volume, frankly I don’t care that much how many bytes have passed through a port in an hour, I care how saturated that interface might be.
Yes, I know I could get all of this out of SNMP into our normal monitoring platform but for many of our customers a single management / monitoring interface is the whole reason we install Peplink switches, I find it somewhat odd that there are graphs showing per-port power consumption for PoE but not bandwidth!
