I saw USB ports on the devices and just wanna make sure it works!

I had issues with a ZTE 3g modem indicating it was connected but not passing traffic, after opening up a trouble ticket, and enabling remote access, they created a custom firmware, now the 3g modem works fine. So there is hope if your modem doesn’t work when you first connect it to the usb port.
