DNS proxy setting enabled - default?

Is DNS proxy setting enabled a default setting for Surf SOHO Mk3? I’m unclear as to when and why I would need it or even if I set it for some reason that I’ve now forgotten.

Yes, DNS proxy is default enabled.

Adding to what @sitloongs said, if you are using the SOHO for your DNS, I’d recommend leaving the box checked unless you have a reason not to do so. This will allow the SOHO to cache DNS data which serves to speed up the resolution process, often significantly.

@sitloongs and @Rick-DC : Thanks and I’ll leave it enabled.
